Construx Co. served as the general contractor for this interior renovation and buildout of the student center for Miss Porter’s School. This project was a larger undertaking with many nuanced additions and changes throughout.
To begin we gutted the fit and finish of the second and third floor, removing carpets and wall coverings, we then repainted. We also created a meeting space that overlooks the first floor that included a new custom glass wall. Next, the ceilings and old plaster walls throughout the whole building were repaired, as well as installation of new windows and doors throughout.
Additionally, an elevator was added and a ramp from the front to the back of the building to allow more accessibility throughout. Air conditioning and fire alarm systems were also added throughout.
