Construx Co. served as the general contractor for the interior renovation of our new Hartford headquarters, transforming an existing office space to better support the needs of our growing team.
While the original layout featured modern finishes and an open concept, it lacked the number of private offices needed and was partially designed as a showroom. The renovation scope included selective demolition, new framing, electrical work, lighting installation, low-voltage wiring, and drywall to create fully enclosed offices—each featuring a full-height glass wall to maintain openness and natural light.
New flooring and paint were applied throughout the space, along with the integration of a comprehensive video and audio system through Elon. This system includes lighting controls, HVAC automation, audio and access control, alarm functionality, and motorized shade operation.
To improve acoustics and enhance the visual design, floating ceiling panels were installed in key areas. Branded elements and greenery were layered in, including a moss wall with our logo, custom planters, and large-format conference room graphics. A new lounge and recreation area add flexibility and comfort, creating a workplace that is both highly functional and inviting.
This project showcases our team’s ability to self-perform high-quality work while delivering thoughtful, purpose-driven spaces—even for ourselves.
