Fresh Energy in a Compact Space: Jamba Juice at Westfarms Mall
March 2026

Construx Co. recently completed the build-out of a new Jamba Juice at Westfarms Mall in Farmington, Connecticut, transforming approximately 800 square feet into a vibrant, high-performance smoothie restaurant. Though compact in size, the project required extensive coordination and a full scope of construction to meet franchise standards and support daily operations within an active mall environment.

Work began with selective demolition of the existing space, followed by concrete trenching and backfill to accommodate new underground plumbing and equipment connections. New framing and drywall defined the updated layout, finished with fresh paint to reflect Jamba’s bright, energetic brand. A new ACT ceiling, lighting package, white pebble FRP wall panels, and floor tile completed the refreshed interior.

Franchise-focused millwork anchors the front-of-house, including a half door integrated at the counter and a new Eliason door at the back-of-house. A new electric menu board enhances flexibility and reinforces brand consistency.

Behind the scenes, the project included new underground and aboveground plumbing, new sinks and bathroom accessories, relocation of the sprinkler system, and installation of a new HVAC system coordinated with Westfarms Mall, including rooftop units. A new walk-in freezer with full equipment connections supports daily operations.

This project is a strong example of how much work can live within a small footprint. With thoughtful planning and precise execution, Construx Co. delivered a fully upgraded, franchise-ready space built to keep things blending smoothly.
