Construx Completes Elicit Brewing’s Danbury Brew-pub
December 2025

From empty bays to full pours, Construx is proud to have completed construction on Elicit Brewing’s newest craft brew-pub, now open at 15 Backus Avenue in Danbury, Connecticut. Opening in July 2025, the project transformed a multi-bay tenant space into a vibrant destination built for brewing, dining, and gathering — indoors and out.

The work included a full interior and exterior renovation, structural modifications to support brewing equipment, and finish detailing designed to balance durability with a warm, social atmosphere.

The 6,800-square-foot main dining room anchors the space with custom seating, integrated bar areas, and specialty millwork. Thoughtful acoustical planning and circulation allow the space to accommodate large crowds while maintaining comfort and visibility. A 1,500-square-foot private function room adds flexibility for events and live programming, supported by adaptable layouts and custom casework.

Behind the scenes, a 1,200-square-foot commercial kitchen was constructed to support brewery-scale service, featuring epoxy flooring, FRP wall panels, and fully integrated food-service infrastructure.

A 2,000-square-foot exterior patio extends the brewpub outdoors with seasonal bar service, concrete and paver hardscape, weather-resistant finishes, overhead lighting, and canopy systems. Bar areas are integrated throughout both indoor and outdoor spaces, supported by custom beer counters, cocktail stations, and back-bar systems tailored to Elicit Brewing’s operations.

Exterior improvements modernized the building with new storefront glazing and entries, architectural metal panel detailing, and a reworked roof line to support brewing operations. Life-safety upgrades were incorporated throughout, including updated egress, sprinklers, and full ADA accessibility.

Elicit Brewing’s Danbury location reflects a collaborative effort between owner, design team, and builder — resulting in a space designed to meet the demands of a modern brewpub while creating an inviting place for the community to gather.
